Terms, Policies & Legal Notice
Last updated: June 5, 2026
Please read these policies carefully before using our website, requesting an estimate, or ordering towing or roadside assistance services.
1. Terms of Service & Website Use
Welcome to the website operated by NORTH HOOK TOWING ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing this website, submitting a contact form, requesting an online estimate, booking an appointment, placing an order, or communicating with us by phone, text, WhatsApp, email, or any other channel, you ("Customer, "you, or "your") agree to these Terms and all policies on this page.
If you do not agree, do not use our website or request our services.
We provide towing, roadside assistance, vehicle recovery, and related transportation services in the greater Seattle, Washington metropolitan area and surrounding communities, subject to availability, weather, traffic, road conditions, and applicable law.
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service at any time for safety concerns, non-payment, inaccurate information, unlawful requests, abusive conduct, vehicles we cannot safely handle with available equipment, or other legitimate business reasons.
You agree to provide accurate contact information, vehicle description, pickup and drop-off locations, and authorization to request service. You represent that you are the owner of the vehicle or have lawful authority to order service for the vehicle.
Our website is for informational and booking purposes. We do not guarantee uninterrupted website access. We may update, suspend, or remove website features without notice.
All content on this website (text, logos, images, layout) is owned by or licensed to the Company and may not be copied, scraped, or reused without written permission.
Third-party links or map tools on our site are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for third-party websites, APIs, or services.
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page. The "Last updated" date will change. Continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Service Agreement & Customer Responsibilities
When you request service from NORTH HOOK TOWING, a service agreement is formed between you and the Company based on these policies, any verbal or written quote we provide, and applicable Washington State and local laws.
Your responsibilities include:
• Being present or designating an authorized adult at the pickup location when reasonably required.
• Providing keys, releases, gate codes, parking permissions, and access to the vehicle when needed.
• Disclosing known mechanical problems, low clearance, AWD/4WD status, electric vehicle details, aftermarket modifications, and prior damage.
• Removing or securing loose personal items. We are not a carrier of personal property unless expressly agreed in writing.
• Ensuring the vehicle is not involved in an active law-enforcement hold, theft investigation, or dispute of ownership unless properly documented.
• Paying agreed charges, deposits, storage, waiting time, and additional fees described at the time of service or in these policies.
Service timing: We strive for prompt response but do not guarantee exact arrival times. Delays may occur due to weather, traffic, prior calls, equipment needs, safety conditions, or events outside our reasonable control.
Refusal at scene: If a vehicle cannot be safely towed using reasonable methods, if the scene is unsafe, or if required authorizations are not available, we may decline to complete service or use alternate methods (flatbed, winch, dollies, etc.) that may affect pricing.
Abandoned or unclaimed vehicles: If you fail to retrieve a vehicle from our facility or an agreed location within the time communicated to you, storage and applicable statutory notice procedures may apply under Washington law.
3. Online Estimates, Pricing & Deposits
Online estimates provided through NORTH HOOK TOWING's website, map tools, or messaging channels are non-binding approximations for planning purposes only.
Final charges are based on actual services performed and may differ from online estimates due to factors including but not limited to: actual driving distance and route, traffic and wait time, vehicle condition, accessibility, winching or labor, tire/axle damage, after-hours or holiday rates, tolls, permits, storage, multiple stops, corrected addresses, equipment requirements, and changes you request on scene.
Quotes communicated by phone, text, or dispatch are subject to the same limitations unless we expressly confirm a fixed price in writing for a defined scope.
Deposits: We may require a partial deposit (for example, 25%–30% of the estimated total) to schedule or dispatch service. Deposits are applied toward your final invoice. Unless we agree otherwise in writing:
• Deposits may be collected only after we confirm dispatch from our base or as otherwise disclosed at checkout.
• The remaining balance is due upon completion of service or as stated on your invoice.
• Deposits for cancelled jobs may be refundable only as described in our Cancellation & Refunds section.
Failure to pay deposits or final balances may result in refusal of service, collection action permitted by law, or statutory lien/storage procedures where applicable.
You authorize us to charge the payment method you provide for approved deposits and final amounts. Chargebacks made without good-faith dispute resolution may be referred for collection and may affect future service eligibility.
4. Vehicle Care, Insurance & Limitation of Liability
NORTH HOOK TOWING exercises reasonable care in handling vehicles while providing towing and roadside services. Towing involves inherent risks. No transportation method can eliminate all risk of damage.
Pre-existing conditions: We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, rust, mechanical defects, frozen brakes, inoperable steering, low ground clearance issues, loose parts, aftermarket installations, or damage arising from the age or condition of the vehicle that is not caused by our negligence.
Customer-caused or third-party events: We are not liable for damage or loss caused by other motorists, weather, road debris, prior accidents, vandalism, fire, flood, acts of government, or events outside our reasonable control.
Notice of damage: If you believe new damage occurred during our service, notify us promptly and before further use or repair when possible. We may request photos, inspection, and cooperation with our insurance review.
Insurance: We maintain commercial insurance as required for our operations. Our liability for damage caused by our negligence is generally limited to amounts covered by applicable insurance and/or direct physical damage proven to have occurred while the vehicle was in our care, subject to applicable law. We do not waive any rights or defenses available under Washington law.
No blanket waiver: Nothing in these policies attempts to waive liability that cannot legally be waived, including protections that may apply to consumers under applicable Washington or federal law.
Indirect damages: To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost wages, rental car costs (except where required by law), business interruption, or emotional distress arising from delay or service outcomes.
Cap: Where a limitation is permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a single service event shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for that specific service or (b) the proven diminution in value or repair cost directly caused by our negligence, subject to insurance and statutory limits.
Indemnification: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Company and its owners, employees, and contractors from claims, fines, penalties, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your breach of these policies, unlawful use of the vehicle, false information you provided, or your direction that we take actions prohibited by law.
Governing law & venue: These policies are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Except where prohibited, exclusive venue for disputes shall be in courts located in King County, Washington.
Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

6. Cancellation, No-Shows & Refunds
You may cancel a scheduled service before our truck is dispatched. If you cancel after dispatch or if our operator arrives and you are unavailable, refuse service without valid reason, or provide incorrect location information, a trip charge, dispatch fee, or partial deposit forfeiture may apply to cover our costs.
If we cancel due to safety, weather, equipment failure, or circumstances beyond our control, we will work with you to reschedule or refund deposits that were not earned, except for third-party costs we cannot recover.
Refund requests must be submitted in writing with your name, phone number, service date, and order/invoice reference. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method when possible within a reasonable timeframe.
Charge disputes must be raised with us before initiating a payment processor chargeback so we can investigate promptly.
